The video begins with a long shot, in which we see a tall attractive woman in a bikini and heels; she appears to be quite promiscuous. Her lack of clothing emphasises this along with her arguing on the phone to a boy who appears to be a boyfriend. As the music starts the editing matches the fast tempo of the song by cutting from different scenes of a party. It becomes very apparent that the people are obviously on holiday, wearing swim wear and loud vibrant shirts amplify the holiday theme.
As the lyrics begin, the main star Dizzee rascal performs direct to the camera in a series of close up and mid shots, it’s clear he’s the main star. He is surrounded by young beautiful women and is being represented as a ‘jack the lad’ dominant male who can easily date anyone at this party, which is just full of women the only men in the whole party are the rappers and singers, this emphasis there dominance and also makes the women seem like there only there to be looked at.
The narrative of the video is linear the lead girl is now being tracked by the camera as she walks through the party, her walk seems to be in slow motion which contrasts with the tempo of the song and also contrasts with the more quicker cuts to the other girls, she is more important.
To show the amplification of the music video a crane shot is used, where we get a good view of the scale of the party and the setting, they appear to be in some large luxurious villa or glamorous hotels pool area. There are even more fast cuts which are mid shots or tracking shots of young women who are having a good time drinking the stereotypical holiday drinks such as cocktails.
Dizzee Rascals costume is very loud and vibrant he has different costumes in the video, he is first seen in a very loud holiday shirt witch is a bright blue busy patterned piece, he then later is seen wearing a sharp white and yellow suit, this portrays him as quite the show of and a flashy character. The other singer is not as vibrant but is still in the usual t-shirt and shorts outfit which you would expect to see on a holiday, the costumes help to emphasise that there abroad somewhere hot and quite popular for young adults to be like Ibiza. The props also emphasise the holiday theme, exotic plants and cocktails are seen throughout the video. Sunglasses are constantly being shown in close ups and mid shots of the girls, whom are all wearing bikinis, this is used for two reasons: to enlighten the audience to know how high the temperature is but also helps sell the video to a male audience as the women are barely clothed.
This video represents the stereotypical young adult’s holiday to Ibiza or any other young clubbing hot spot. The girls are shown to be quite wild and there is a huge sense of freedom, there on holiday having a good time. There are a lot of connotations towards glamour and luxury throughout the video; he is clearly living the lifestyle that every male would like to live. The most obvious representation is of the main star Dizzee Rascal being able to have any girl he wants. As he in shown at the end of the video going into a expensive car with the lead girl, he gives a cheeky big headed glance to the camera to show he’s obviously happy to be going away with her.
The genre of this is rap and R&B as the featuring vocalist is a well known R&B singer, the audience of this music would be around 17 to 23 late teens and young adults.
